Film The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014) menceritakan tentang akhir dari kisah petualangan Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield dan para Dwarves (kurcaci). Usai mereklamasi kampung halaman mereka dari Naga Smaug, para kurcaci tanpa sadar kembali melepaskan kekuatan besar yang mematikan ke dunia.
